After upgrading to v6.3 Beta 2 I'm no longer seeing the problem. To be fair I've had this feature disabled since my original post so it's possible the problem had resolved itself by then.

Nevermind, the problem is still happening but seems to have a different effect. The app is completely freezing now and either Windows kills it or I have to use task manager. Turning compression back off to see if that fixes the freezing.

Looks like the issue has been resolved in 6.5 beta 2.

I've also had this problem for the last couple betas, including v6.5 Beta 3. It' s bad enough that I've turned off Auto Update and only update the headers for one group at a time.

I'm still getting these hangs/crashes with 6.5 beta 4. Anybody else?

I'm downloading my headers from 123 Usenet. It only happens when compression is enabled. Any suggestions on what info I can provide to help track down this problem?

I'm still on beta 2, I didn't want to risk dealing with this bug by upgrading.
