CPU spike / csrss.exe

Post by benhamil »

I recently updated to NL 5.0 final.

Every time I run NL, the CSRSS.EXE process goes to 8-12% CPU utilization and stays there until NL is shut down. It is definitely related to NL -- I've opened and closed NL multiple times to verify, and CSRSS.EXE is only spiking when this specific program is loaded.

Is this a known problem with 5.0? It never happened with the previous version I was using (4.0 final).

I haven't seen this process with high CPU with NewsLeecher. A quick Google search shows that it is commonly infected/replaced with a virus so be sure to check that the file is still legit.
