Spam Detection

Post by Otter » Mon Apr 21, 2014 3:46 am

I have started seeing over the last month a large number of spam files showing up in large binaries. These binaries are often greater than 5GB and contain 50 or more parts. Sometimes the binaries are around 30GB.

The spam filter correctly detects the presence of the spam file, but not until the last file in the group has been downloaded. As a suggestion, would it be possible to download the first and last files first to detect whether the binary should be flagged as spam?

Thanks

To add and bump to this. A lot of the spam files getting through the scan (thougth I'm picking these up with supersearch not leech) are using .001 .002 and so on as opposed to .r01 or part01.rar. They're usually uncompressible with a standard unrar or 7z package, but they are often passworded.
