I am getting pretty much the same thing, but on giganews. New posts are being reported as old (most in the range of 50-60 days, but some are at 220). My version is 4.0b16RC3. The last time I see new posts being reported correctly is 1.2 days ago by NL's reckoning.

Same for me. Started late Saturday night 01/05/2010, with posts appearing in 61 - 62 day range.

I'm using usenetserver and beta 16.

Same here..tried various beta versions (13,14 and 16).

I think its also the reason, why Supersearch doesnt find anything newer than ~ 2 days.

You should really fix that sooner than later.. ;-)

Same here.
I noticed it a few days ago with Beta 15 than i upgraded to 16 yesterday and thought it would solve the problem. But no! Still there.

I deinstalled NL and made a fresh install and loaded the whole newsgroup again. Everything was fine until i restarted Newsleecher, all Newspost are 60 - 61,7 Days old.

Im on giganews.

I have the same problem. It started early today (Sunday 2nd May). I'm using NL v4.0 beta 16 with giganews. I'm using the GigaNews Accelerator too.

I've tried clearing the group cache and requesting Latest 100,000 headers again but the newest header I can get is from 1.6 days ago.

Performing a standard updates gets headers which appear to be 60 - 66 days old.

I've not tried getting headers without accelerator yet ....

I've not made any recent changes to my Newsleecher config.

If it's of any helpm, I'm using XP SP3.

This bug is being discussed over in the Beta forum. No word from developers yet.

I have been getting the same problems over the past couple of days. Even though the posts are new ie : television series are up to date, they are still showing 60-62 days.
I sent an email request to Giganews support and received the reply below.

Subject: ** GN Request
Hello !!!!,

The issue could be your Newsreader. Unfortunatly we are unable to
determine your specific Newsreader, though there have been issues with
Newleecher. I have included the following link:

I too, am having the same issue with no "new" headers being reported (using Giganews + NL 4 Beta 16) for the last 2 days or so. In addition, I downloaded a music album from the a.b.lossless group and have a corrupt file. Tried to go back to the post and nothing is being reported or ever having been there. Anyone else do a search to see if they can find it? Post I am looking for is roughly 450 MB (Roxette - Joyride (1991)).

Just flushed and re-fetched all headers (asked for 2,000,000 newest) and nothing shows.
** What do you mean, "I download too much"?? Didn't think that was possible!**

Guys,

Can you try this unofficial test and see if it solves the article date issues for you? You might have to refetch headers to make it work. SuperSearch should also work okay now.

Fair warning to 3.9 Final users: this is a beta version, not just a patch or whatever.

Spiril, that shows posts coming in as 0.0d old

NewsLeecher v3.9 Final doesn't contain the date bug. Only SuperSearch and more recent v4.0 betas got it, so if you're a v3.9 user you should be fine. Even if you're it together with SuperSearch it should be fine, as SuperSearch got fixed for the date bug earlier today.

That sounds about right, if they're posts in a group you've recently updated.

Eset NOD reported a virus within, but I assume it's a false positive.

Appears to work fine, headers are tagged with the correct date again and nothing important exploded or was sucked into a miniature black hole.

I was kinda hoping NL would "autofix" headers with the bugged date when loading a group from disc (after all, it does sort through them and could easily fix the wrong date I guess). But alas ..... one can't always get a cherry on top, no ?
