Newsleecher won't start

Just got Windows 10, and Newsleecher won't start. I've start starting it in Windows 7 compatibility mode, since it works fine in win7, but no juice.

It's just sitting there, consuming 100% CPU on one core. It's consuming zero disk or network activity. Memory usage stays the same. It just eating horsepowers for... something.

This is a fresh install of Newsleecher 4.0 on a clean install of Windows 10.

Any ideas?
Running Newsleecher 7.0 on Windows 10 x64, because 4.0 stopped working

Corrupt file in AppData\NewsLeecher most likely. Close NL, rename the folder, try and start it again.

It could be a compatible issue with Windows 10. Try Newsleecher latest version.

I was running version fine on versions 7.6 or version 7.7. I have got two computers, one running 7.6 and the other on version 7.7. I am keeping the 7.6 machine because it runs fine. I work on the principle of, if it works fine , don't touch it.
The 7.6 version is the standby computer, in case that version 7.7 bums out on me. Up to press I have had no problems with 7.7.

Sorry, missed the bit where you said clean install of WIndows 10.
That's really odd. NL just works for me. If you are using NL 4 though it simply may not be compatible.
I am using the latest beta, are you not able to use that?

You need the newest beta version which is compatible with windows 10 - it's free to use.
