Newsleecher Slow Speed

Post by Rudy » Sat Jun 11, 2016 7:25 am

Hi I have 200Mbit I would have come to max 25mb / s

My speed is not higher than 16-17mbs / s  :(

Ports I already changed brings everything nix only 16-17mb / s

If I test a speed of my line do I have full 200mb ...

I Newsleecher 7.0 Final

First off, it's not clear from your post that you're not confusing bits and Bytes.

With 200 Mbit/s line, the maximum you should expect from Newsleecher is about 24 MByte/s (25 - overhead).

That said, i've got a 150 mbit/s line and I also get around 16-17 MByte/s max.

Is Newsleecher your usenet provider? If so the main address for accessing the Usenet service, is news.newsleecher.com. When connecting to that address, a geo-selector server will automatically redirect you to the backend Usenet servers closest to your geographic
location. Can you please try to connect directly to the backend Usenet servers, use the address eu.newsleecher.com for
the servers located in Europe, and us.newsleecher.com for the servers located in the U.S.

Also do a test without SSL on the all ports. (please also with SSL if you haven't already done that)

Encryption SSL : Port 563. Port 80 and 81 can also be used for SSL connections.

Non-SSL : Port 119 . Other Non SSL ports are 23, 443, 3128, 7000, 8000 and 9000.
