Need help on logging in

For years I have used newsleecher. Had no problems. All of a sudden I cannot get it to work. I am on version 4.0. I really know nothing about the software I just click and and everything is done for me. Right now I was trying to download and it says connect on demand and then it switches to transferreds scanned. There is something in between but it goes by too fast.

Would really appreciate all the help I can get.
