windows 7 jumplist implementation

Post by anuoldman »

to make NL fully win7 capable and cool ahead of everyone else, I suggest that Windows 7 Jumplists be implemented for progress and tasks.

Tasks:
----------------------------------------------
the current systray context tasks (speed 25, 50, 75 , 100%, connect, etc) can be implemented on the Windows 7 taskbar as jumplist 'tasks'

as shown here:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... jump-lists

Progress bar:
-------------------------------------------
queue download progress can be overlayed on the taskbar icon

as shown here:
well I can't find a video link... but download something or start a long file copy and look at the taskbar and you'll see what I mean....

Good idea.. although let's face it there are more important developments before w7 commercial launch.

How about "Pause/Unpause" or "Stop" in the jumplist, "Open D/L folder" might be nice too.

yeah there are more important devs... but as newsleecher is now, it's broken in win7: unless you set 'minimize to systray' a minimize will send to taskbar and you can't do anything with NL without a window restore
