Option to keep downloaded in list

I would like the option to keep the downloaded files in the Download Queue and have the Status line change to Downloaded instead of the entry being removed.
Could this be added soon?

Sounds reasonable to me. And, not only have the status change to "downloaded", but also change the font color to the downloaded color.

Sounds like a nice feature. It should also display a "Failed download" if the file couldn't be downloaded or a "Failed saved" if the file couldn't be saved.

Yes exactly, You could administer commands with the right click menu to take action. eg attempt to decode (for failed decode articles) Or retry download, or search for missing file segments (xpat), or attempt to redownload failed parts... the list goes on.

if it's implemented an option to automatically clear downloaded and/or failed files could be handy, don't feel much for clearing it manually all the time

I too would like to see this option in NL. Perhaps a setting in the options menu to keep downloaded, incomplete and failed downloads in the queue, and an option to retry downloading those missing segments and/or failed files.
I sometimes start downloading when a poster is still posting the files. At some point I might catch up with the poster so all files will become incomplete or even fail to download cause they're not on the server yet. If these failed files would stay in the queue I only have to retry the files a couple hour later to resume the download. This would save a bunch of time rather than to load the NZB file again and figure out what files are missing/incomplete and download those again..
Perhaps the option (which you can turn on/off) to clean the queue when you close NL.

I'm very glad to see so many more requests like this.
This should not just limited to nzb files. NL also, IMO, needs to be able to better (much better) handle any incomplete multi-part posts. This means also dealing with incomplete m-p posts that are queued from the header list. These posts are different from the nzb's, as all the message-id's are not yet available to NL. Newly arrived segments to all of these incompletes will need to be made clear in the header list (active group window). Only these newly arrived segs should be queued along with the ability to dl and append these segments to the already downloaded segments when the file is finally complete or when the user decides to save a still incomplete file to be processed with par2 files. This would allow for file completion by both segment fills and par2 repair.
I've been asking for this for a long time and is something that I really miss having in NL.

I would love this feature/ features. It would be a great improvement on the handling of incomplete binaries!!

This is exactly the reason why I still use newspro.
Why deleting an missed/failed part? Doesn't make sense to me.
Please fullfill this feature request.

We'll just have to keep this tread alive and hope Spiril will react!

I'd also like to see this feature, I also agree there should be a filter to hide/show downloaded/failed files or to view only downloaded/failed files.
In fact I think the download queue tab should have a set of filters like the active group tab, so you could show/hide downloaded/failed or paused files, as well as showing only these categories. See this thread: viewtopic.php?p=15568
It could also have other filters, like a text filter for instance.

Love these suggestions as well as the others in this group. It is so frustrating (to me) that the whole download queue is gone.

had this same problem today qued some thing up and then through it had downloaded only to find that it had been removed as it was not there any moretried downloading it twice untill I through to have a look in the log file.
I would like a option also so that all downloads are removed (as they are done now) but any that fial to stay in the list in red or some thing eg this could be a filter option.

Wanting to keep this request alive as I'm fed up of having to re-enter missed downloads (incomplete even though the server is initially reporting they're all there) in order to try again later.
If a download fails the queue should reflect this not just delete it
