Ability to schedule downloads at specified times

My ISP is introducing a fair usage policy that caps usage between 8am until 1 am, which means between 1am and 8am I can have unlimited downloads. It would be useful if I could schedule my downloads to start at a specific time (i.e 1am for me) and end at a specific time.
 :D

Dont you mean "My ISP called Plusnet" ;)

I think this would be a great idea for kicking the downloads off at night when people would not be using the computer

Spiril has said there would be scheduling abilites available in v2.5.

Probably for both header downloads and article downloads.
For now, you can use the Windows Scheduler to start NL. This should work just fine for you.

OK thanks for the info.

I will be able to get one over on plus net now. It seems I will now be able to get a 2mb connection for £22 month if I hammer the downloading between 1am and 8am. So I save £8 month and double my speed. what a fair usage policy

Nildram have just introduced a similar 'fair use' policy, roll on the scheduling.
