Repair and Extract still deletes files instead of moving them to the correct folder. This seems to happen to files that are joined (ie files with .001, .002, .003 etc)

Still see the same lock ups prior to any network activity. CPU usage is negligible and disabling RnE has no effect.

Someone else please check ...

The poster's name does not seem to be shortened correctly in latest version (optimisation/article poster info setting has no effect)

Cheers

Hi Spiril,

The update you posted seemed to have taken care of the problem. Thanks!

The problem with the speed is still their in this build.

Bug Data2:
Invalid argument to date encode

-----------------------------------------

I get this error while all groups are selected. example by clicking on "Uncategorized subscriptions" then enter "1" into --->(max days).

It happens when I enter the number.

I seem to recall this since version 4 alpha

I'd just add that so far ... Beta 3 is a great effort.

I am running this from a USB U3 drive, with programme, data, and temp files running from it (to keep everything separate from local drives) changed with modified .ini file

Programme starts in a few seconds .. loading several groups seems ok.
Am running 8x SSL connections from Giganews using their accelerator.
Quick as last version.

Things that could do with sorting soonest ...

*** Article Filters
*** Clicking on the preview files in BOT windows does nothing (no default viewer)
*** The bar up the LHS of the article window is unnecessarily wide. Easy to slide onto and pop up the group list all the time when selecting articles!
** Threading and queue behaviour
** Cannot drag entries in queue
** If you ungroup a line entry (like a par2 or sfv) it will not go back into a
group
** Double-click to download dropped?? Why?
** Manual queue save and load not present .. yet?! **
** NL Explorer "line spacing" looks wrong (too wide-spaced vertically)
* Poster info not affected by settings
* Tabs seem too narrow (bunched up)

Cheers :)

I'm not sure if this is Newsleecher 4.0 b3 specific but it's been happening since I installed the beta! I keep losing all the files in my queue :(

First window upon opening Newsleecher:

[Window Title]
NewsLeecher v4.0 Beta 3

[Content]
Error:
Unable to use the existing Repair'n'Extract Cache. Resetting Cache.

Reason:
The Cache Seems to be Corrupted. No big problem. Just carry on.

[OK]

Second window:

[Window Title]
NewsLeecher v4.0 Beta 3

[Content]
Error:
Unable to load the existing Repair'n'Extract Sets. Resetting Sets.

Reason:
The Sets File Seems to be Corrupted.

[OK]

Grouping seems to still need to be tweaked a bit. See the attached screenshot. The first two are the actual binaries to be downloaded, the .NFO is separate, but should be included in the above groups. This may be a problem with the way it was posted, and not Newsleecher.

Also, especially in music groups, the post should be grouped together instead of all the songs from the same post being separate. (See screenshot 2) The MP3 files, covers, and m3u are all individual, the .nfo and .sfv are in a group, and the .pars are in yet another group. Should all of the above be in a single group? The header is identical on all of them. Again, possibly a problem with the way it was posted rather than Newsleecher itself.

EDIT: THANK YOU for bringing back sorting into groupname/download name. It is much appreciated!

Extraction worked this time. Also the speed is back to normal.
Thanks.
