Superleech bug fails to get all RAR's V6.5 Beta 6

Post by Village Guy » Wed Jul 23, 2014 8:56 am

Is anyone else experiencing incomplete downloads as a result of NL Superleech failing to pick up the first few RAR's ?

For example, Superleach will find the series and episode and start the download from perhaps RAR 15 thru RAR 35. By the time I notice the failure RAR's 1 thru 14 are present but not marked for download

The problem can be resolved by manually adding the missing RAR's but this pretty much defeats the idea of Superleech

Could this issue be caused by the poster uploading in reverse order?

Very frustrating

For the most part the Newsleecher forum seems to be contribution from users without much coming back by way of acknowledgement or support.

This bug is becoming a real pain and is making Superleech very unreliable.

Can someone in support acknowledge the issue and advise when a fix will be available please.

We haven't seen this kind of behavior specifically. It very easily could be due to the poster sending the files in reverse order. When NewsLeecher ran the search, he probably had only uploaded 35 to 15 so NewsLeecher grabbed what it could.

What is the setting for that SuperLeech entry on retrying the search? It should grab the remaining files on the next search. But if you have it to not search again for 6 days (assuming the entry is for a weekly TV show) then it wouldn't get all of the files for almost a week, which by then they could be removed.

When you see this issue come up, could you please send the log to support?

I suspect you are right in respect to the uploader sending in reverse order. Unfortunately NL does not get the missing RAR's on the second search. The search is made every 30 minutes!

You make no mention of which particular log file to send to support and there are lots of them!

I have made up a little package and hopefully one of them will help :)
