Some bugs with 7.0b1

Post by Eric10301 » Sun Oct 12, 2014 8:31 pm

1) The free hdd space counter at the bottom is broken and only shows 0.00GB free.

2) The Default Download bookmark doesn't work now because instead of going to d:\downloads\ it tries to go to d:\downloads\<groups> which obviously doesn't exist and you can't edit it.

3) Posts that were split using a par program no longer join in r&e but they did in v6 of NL. I can provide an nzb.

4) More often than not, when I click on a group to grab new headers, I get an error:

Bug ID:
14u10t08t

Bug Data #2:
Access violation at address 00A74DFB in module 'newsLeecher.exe'. Read of address 00000000

Another problem, r&e isn't able to handle broken misnamed files, which means we are still going to have to use a secondary par program. That means the new version of NL is just as unequipped as v6 was in handling obfuscated posts.

This unofficial forum release should fix those issues : http://www.newsleecher.com/nl70002.ufr3.exe

Yep, please PM me an NZB or a SuperSearch query for such a set.

I'm not seeing that. Does it happen no matter what group you enter ? Is there a way to trigger the bug consistently ?

Working hard on that at the moment. Detection should also work on broken files within the next few betas.
bug fixed. no idea how. hate it when that happens. trying to break it again now. will. not. be. defeated.

NL7b2fr3 - R&E not working (no files in set)

Post by shoek » Tue Oct 14, 2014 1:09 pm

Regarding UFR3 :
When leeching, all PAR2 files added the R&E queue show "No files in set. The files might be missing, because they are triggered by the Ignore Filter". I'm not sure where the Ignore Filter s set, but I'm pretty sure mine has not been set.
It is doing this with all 3 filesets I'm downloading right now.

Any ideas?

I forgot to include an updated PAR2 related file in the test release. It should work now, if you download and install it again.

It seems I get the Access Violation bug when I have the "Show old" button ticked before clicking on a group to update it. I can confirm the free space and default download bugs were fixed =D> . I'll send you an nzb for one of the posts I was talking about now.

Eric,

I think it is properly fixed now : http://www.newsleecher.com/nl70002.ufr6.exe

If you find other PAR2 split sets that are not working with NewsLeecher V7.0, PM me with the set names, and I'll get it fixed.

Two more issues: To go along with the bug in my first post, which is still present, if you have the "show old" box checked and add something to your queue the check mark doesn't appear next to the post you are downloading. Not only that but it adds the post to your download que as singular files instead of a grouped download. I hope that makes sense. Also, the drop down list in the explorer tab is a bit glitchy.
