Temporarily paused

Post by thany » Thu Nov 05, 2015 8:35 pm

The connections are currently blinking "Temporarily paused while writing downloaded data to storage device".

I'm not too sure, but I don't think my internet connection is faster than my SSD. This message should not come up when my SSD can easily write 500MBps and my internet connection is "only" 200Mbps.

But more to the point, the SSD it's supposed to be writing to, is currently idle. So what exactly would it to pause for?

Can I disable this beaviour?... Can't we just do away with it, since the OS is capable of handling this perfectly fine by itself?

Using NL 7.0 b7 on Windows 10.
Running Newsleecher 7.0 on Windows 10 x64, because 4.0 stopped working

There are tons of threads on this issue. NL is extremely inefficient in writing articles to disk, even SSD's can't keep up.
