Constant Access violation every morning.

Post by galronn » Mon May 02, 2016 10:55 pm

I constantly get these errors which stopped downloading anything else and stopped Repair and Extract until i close it and start it again. I've done the F12 to not load any settings files at start then close and relaunch with still the same effect almost every morning.

I'm on 7.0b14 and I've had this problem for a while now.

There must be something else that causing this issue.

Is there something else I can try?

Try turning off xfeat compression. Advance setting set to false. Compression not used in header downloads. Slower to update but less buggy!

I have found compression in theory is great, but in practice is a problem with some providers. Especially when group is low in new articles. <100
It can lead to corrupted NL cache, and many other bad things.

While you are at it. Set days to keep articles to 7. Reduces the size of the cache for faster startups.

These 2 things stopped the majority of my problems.
