Unpacking goes into a different folder?

Post by pka4916 »

When I use the leech and put them in the queue
I change the folder for the download by right clicking on it, and that works fine.
But when it's unrarring, it is putting the files in my original download folder, and not in my custom folder where i changed it to.
How do I change that?

Thanks

LEECH and UNPACK are two different, distinct functions.

Leech Specify LEECHES to the specified folder.

UNPACK unpacks to the default or custom UNPACK FOLDER (as specified in Download/Unpack Folders).

NewsLeecher is operating properly.

If NL previously unpacked to the Leech Specify folder then it was not operating properly and has now been fixed.

You can request a LEECH & UNPACK SPECIFY function (or a separate UNPACK Specify function) in the Wishlist for Santa forum at viewforum.php?f=4.

So how does that work, I tried many things for that.

I have download folder set to G:\Downloads
When I add items to the queue
I right click and change the destination folder to e:\movies

So I expect that the extract happens also in e:\movies.
That is not happen, since it's grabbing the g:\downloads folder for that.
I want to have it unpack whereever I decide if I change the folder with the Change folder when I right click on the queued file.

I don't have that anymore in V8.

so I can only do that now, instead when I right click on a queued file and select CHange Download folder..
It doesn't get auto unpacked in that folder anymore?
I should not have to select 100 different folder for where I want my files. Now it's all with a single right click where I select to download too, and that's where it's getting processed.

That's in there for years, so why take it out, and make something like that.

If that's not possible in V8, then I will stick with V7.
This is a Huge letdown for a lot of users who are using it.

More than the default extract folder functionality was broken. We are also missing functionality for several tags as well. <PAR2 Path> would work just fine if it were still being parsed, since, presumably, the PAR2 is in the desired download folder.

Alas, all I get is the literal string <PAR2 Path>\ appended to the default download folder.

See my other post on a similar thread for more information.

Please implement full tag functionality like before (at least for <PAR2 Path>, if possible.)
